Deciding to make decorations with your own hands using painting stencils, the selection of appropriate brushes or rollers is crucial for an effective result. #1: Sponge Brush
The best tool, both for beginners and more advanced decorators. Sponge brushes are ideal for detailed works, especially for painting small pattern details. Eventually, it is in the refinement of the pattern that lies the biggest secret of a perfect end result! Thanks to taping (more about this method later in this post), you can accurately paint any surface without visible and often unwanted brushstrokes. The sponges are also economical when it comes to the paint usage and they cover the pattern with color consonantly. In addition, if you are into different techniques of making ornaments, these little tools will be perfect for decoupage or scrapbooking. Thanks to them, you will achieve an interesting-looking effect of furniture aging or shading and combining colors. The ease of cleaning is another advantage. The best solution to cover a larger area. Just as sponge brushes, the roller is very absorbent, thanks to which it spreads the paint steadily and without unnecessary splashing on the painted surface, thereby minimizing the formation of streaks. The rollers are also easy to clean – just wash them with lukewarm water and soap, and after drying they will be ready for the next work. Unfortunately, this tool is only ideal for perfectly smooth surfaces, such as walls. Any rough elements will need to be refined with other tools, intended for finishing details.
